Terms of Service

Last updated: 27 July 2026

These terms apply when you use the Teodor website, submit a commission request, or buy an original or print from a creator featured on the site. By using the site or placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Teodor is operated by the guardian who represents the featured creators. Where these terms refer to "we" or "us" they mean that guardian.

1. What Teodor is

Teodor is a small marketplace where creators — some minors, some neurodivergent, some who simply want support with the business side — sell original art, prints, and commissions. A trusted adult, the guardian, handles pricing, communication, payment and shipping on the creator's behalf. Buyers do not need to create an account. The guardian is your point of contact from first enquiry through delivery.

2. Orders and commissions

Prices, availability, and lead times shown on the site are indicative. A contract is formed only when the guardian confirms your request and (for paid orders) you have completed payment.

For commissions, the guardian will send a quote with the scope, price and expected timeline. You are free to accept, decline, or ask for changes before payment. Once accepted and paid, the creator begins work.

Revisions are handled at the draft stage, as agreed in the quote. Further revisions after the piece is completed may not be possible or may be charged separately.

3. Payment

Payments are taken in EUR through Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe and are not stored on Teodor. You are responsible for providing accurate billing and shipping information. Payment must be received in full before an original ships or a commission begins.

4. Delivery of physical originals

Physical originals are shipped to the address you provide at checkout. The guardian will confirm shipping method and expected delivery window by email. Risk of loss passes to you when the piece is handed to the carrier; title passes on full payment.

Please inspect your parcel on arrival. If a piece arrives damaged or significantly different from what was agreed, contact the guardian within 14 days and we will work with you on a fair resolution — repair, replacement, partial refund, or full refund depending on the situation.

5. Consumer rights and returns

Where you buy as an EU consumer, you have statutory rights, including the 14-day right of withdrawal for standard consumer sales. That right does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised — this includes commissioned pieces, which are exempt from the right of withdrawal once work has started. Nothing in these terms limits your non-waivable statutory consumer rights.

6. Ownership and use of the artwork

Buying an original or a print transfers ownership of that physical piece to you. It does not transfer copyright. The creator retains copyright and moral rights in the artwork, including the right to reproduce it, display it in their portfolio, and license it elsewhere, unless separately agreed in writing.

You may enjoy the piece privately and resell the physical object. You may not reproduce the artwork commercially, use it in AI training datasets, or claim authorship.

7. Acceptable use

Please use the site respectfully. Do not attempt to disrupt it, scrape it at scale, misrepresent your identity, submit unlawful or harassing content through the commission form, or use artwork downloaded from the site in ways this policy prohibits.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the EU member state in which the guardian is established, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms, an order, or a commission should go to the guardian. Contact details are on the About and FAQ pages, and in any email you have received from us about your order.
